Paul was brought up in Caerau and has always lived there. He spent nine and a half years in the Merchant Navy, after retraining, he then started work for Neath Port Talbot council, where he remains till this day.

CLLR MARTIN HUGHES
Maesteg East
Martin lives in Bridgend Road – near to Garth Church – with his wife Enid-Sian. Martin’s been an active Labour Party Member and community campaigner for many years and volunteers with the County’s credit union, and has previously served as a local councillor for 17 years.
Martin’s is committed to being an effective and approachable councillor for the people of Garth and the east of Maesteg.

RICHARD COLLINS
Maesteg West
Richard joined the family business – Travella – in 1984. He is married to Margaret and is one of the founding members of the Garnwen Trust, set up in memory of their son Alex and his girlfriend, Bethan. Richard lives in Neath Road. He is passionate about Maesteg and the wider community in the Llynfi Valley.
